Printer Warranty:The use of compatible or aftermarket printing supplies will not void printer’s warranty. Your printer warranty cannot be voided just because you choose to use a compatible product unless the manufacturer can prove that the compatible product caused direct damage to your printer. In cases such as this, the manufacturer may choose not to repair your printer but your warranty would remain in effect for all other warranty issues. They are usually manufactured using a combination of new and recycled parts at factories throughout the world. That’s why you may see a reference like this: “This newly manufactured product may contain parts and materials recovered from the HP Planet Partners recycling program” or “This cartridge may contain reconditioned parts and remolded materials.” Remanufactured cartridges:Remanufactured cartridge is a cartridge that has been completely disassembled, cleaned and inspected. A new Drum is installed along with a wiper blade and magnetic roller and any other parts that may be worn. It is then filled with new OEM specifications toner, reassembled and tested. Compatible CartridgeCompatible Brand Cartridge is a new cartridge assembled using all new components. A new compatible is manufactured by a third party. The majority of these manufactures operate their manufacturing plants under the same type of quality control systems that the OEM's uses. Refilled cartridges:A refilled cartridge has been drilled out and refilled with new toner inside. This is called the “drill-n-fill" method. No other parts are replaced. It is true that a drum can be used more than once if properly cleaned and tested. We do not sell refilled cartridges, it’s not worth it. Ink Cartridges:Remanufactured ink cartridges are inspected, disassembled and cleaned. Parts are replaced, refilled with the specified ink for that product and engineered to become “as new”. All cartridges are then tested for performance and quality of print. |
